I first discovered Korean culture about a year ago, after watching my first drama with my mom and having a world opened to me. Since then, I’ve become fascinated with its many facets, from the food to the music to the dramas. But as a person who doesn't live the culture, as just a person on the outside looking in, I realized that there’s a LOT that I’m still unaware of, so much more that my friends and I can explore and share with the other people just discovering this rich and beautiful culture. So, that’s what this blog will (hopefully) accomplish - with a little luck and a lot of writing.

Annyeong! Happycake here! I was first introduced to the K-Pop scene about 4 years ago by my cousins. After quite some years of them showing me crazy music videos whenever we met up and me thinking it's a dumb genre, I finally gave in and let them introduce more to me, this time actually paying attention. Ever since, my love for K-Pop has grown tremendously and it is now one of my lifestyles. I even took up some classes to learn Korean, but I mostly only know how to read and write. Nonetheless, my curiosity for the rest of Korean culture- especially the food OMNOMNOM- is continuously expanding and I am excited to explore just those. Also, I'm a cook and baker, so I'll have some recipes of stuff I throw together in the kitchen, and I'd love to hear some of your recipes if you have any!

is a very recent Hallyu convert but is NOT Korean, and loves nothing
more than eating Korean food and crying over - er, watching a new drama.
She writes for this blog when she isn’t studying or helping her eomma
MamaBanchan (either in the kitchen or with her baby sister), and is best
Kpop buddies forever with Happycake.
Happycake ain't Korean either and loves to be emotionally wrecked
listening to K-Pop and underground K-Hip Hop and rap 24/7. So if there
are any of you out there who share the same love for music not in the
K-Pop scene, let the spazzing begin and please, she is so open for any
recommendations!! She, just like her best buddy BeanSprout, writes when
studying is not on the To Do list and completely falls in love with
whatever Korean dish you put in front of her.
